There were some excellent results at the British Masters Championships at Derby at the weekend.  The highlights included three gold medals for Tenny James (M65 100m, 400m and 100m Hurdles), a win for Glen Kerr in the M45 Hammer, and two silver medals for Darren Kerr in the M50 Hammer and M50 Weight (with a new PB of 16.54 metres).  A silver and bronze medal for Damian Larrington (in the M40 Shot and the M40 Discus respectively), two bronze medals for Graeme Packman (M65 Discus and M65 Shot), a silver meal for Jemma Eastwood, and a silver medal for Ellie Garraway.

1500m

Ben Davies and Jack Goodwin both set excellent 1500m PBs in the BMC Gold Standard Races at Watford on Wednesday 23rd August.  Ben improved his PB to 3.43.38, and Jack brought his PB down to 3.46.27.  Sam Knee Robinson also returned a 3:51.20 PB in the open 1500m.

200m

There were also some good performances from younger athletes over 200m:

• Daniel Toner (U17), 23.42
• Morgan Aislabie (U13), 25.33

Life member Raph Bouju reached the 100m Semi-Final at the World Athletics Championships in Budapest on 20th August, finishing 5th in 10.20 seconds.  Raph had earlier won his heat in 10.09.
